I have decided to add a section to the site for healthy eating, restaurant reviews for mamas who want a "kid friendly" place to eat, recipes for babies and toddlers, and an email for "Ask the Chef"! Please feel free to comment with your own suggestions and what has worked with your family regarding healthy eating habits. Our Chef is Michael Herrud! Thank you Michael, we appreciate you caring enough about our families and taking the time out of your schedule to write reviews, recipes and advice on healthy eating habits. We will have a full bio and comment section for Michael if any of you moms out there need advice on making your own baby food, storage, where to buy in bulk, recipes and more. Please write in your suggestions and I will post them on the site!! Don't forget to write your city and state for me! Thank you, Nicole Crivello Ok, Mama's, I have put my two favorites in, please send me your favorites plus a description just in case I haven't heard of them. A few of you have written in for suggestions, but because the section wasn't up and running I didn't get a chance to put them on. Please write in again, other moms want to hear from you and so do I! We have a voice to support other moms, help other moms and learn from other moms! I think my kid's all time favorite restaurant is the Rainforest Café! They have a fabulous atmosphere for kids with entertainment from the wild animals. I think their menu has something for all picky eaters: pizza and pasta, chicken tenders and shrimp, grilled cheese and mini hotdogs, plus mini hamburgers. I like the fact they have a "mini" selection and my kid's aren't wasting food. They also have offer a kid's coloring book with activities and kid's cups you can take with you. The kid's portions include the following option, which is nice: milk, apple juice or soda and entrees are served with kettle chips, kernel corn, applesauce or safari fries. I think their menu offers a variety for kids and is much healthier than other restaurants, such as their pasta served with butter, marinara sauce or Alfredo sauce. Most of us have been, but if you haven't it is a great experience for the kids. Check out their website for locations, menus, gift cards and more!
Chili's is another favorite of my kid's and me! Their menu also has a favorite of options for the kids: pizzas, pastas, GRILLED chicken tenders and sandwiches, mini sandwiches and more. I love the sides offered as well: fries, cinnamon apples, black beans, mashed potatoes, rice, steamed Broccoli, or corn on the cob! These sides are MUCH healthier than other restaurants and not as fattening for the kids. They also offer a coloring book and crayons, but after that's over, you're on your own. I happen to have two energetic kids who like to have something to do constantly. I try to bring an extra book or game for them to occupy themselves with until the food comes.
Most of us have been, but you want to take a gander at their menu, visit their site, www.chili's.com |
